Artists and Writers Protest Against the War in Vietnam

The Artist and Writers Protest Against the War in Vietnam gallery is dedicated to the more than 58,000 American service men and women who lost their lives during the Vietnam War. The goal of the war was to halt the advancements of communism through the US’s involvement in the war.

This gallery portrays the feelings of the American people as seen through the art of sixteen visual artists and eighteen poets. The pieces in the gallery vary from abstract paintings to postcards with strong messages. No matter how varied the piece’s theme or form they testify to the feelings of the era and the deep alarm of violence.
